‘The Covenant’ trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal sets out on a one-man rescue mission

Director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film The Covenant is a military thriller about the extraordinary bond between two men who save each other’s lives. They are US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim), both on assignment in Afghanistan.

After a Taliban ambush injures John, Ahmed cares for him and drags him across mountains in order to get him home safely. However, when John learns that Ahmed and his family did not receive safe passage to America, he must re-enter the war zone to find them and repay his debt.

The Covenant hits theaters Apr. 21.
